OJO OLUMIDE EMMANUEL AND THREE OTHERS WIN THE WENAIJA LITERARY CONTEST

Ojo Olumide Emmanuel has won the prose category of the wenaijaliterary contest organized by the Nigerian Solidarity Support Fund (NSSF). He is the author of two poetry chapbooks, Supplication for Years in Sands and How Flowers Pollinate Before the Arrival of Butterflies.

The other winners include Ajibola Mikail (Nonfiction), Hadiza Abdulkarim (Poetry), and Abdullahi Tela (Flash fiction). They were winners in their categories from over 600 entries received from the whole federation.

The entries were judged by Mrs. Koko Kalango, Kukogho Samson Iruesiri, Sammy Sage Hassan, and others.

The award ceremony was held at Wheatbaker Hotels, Ikoyi Lagos with many in attendance. The ceremony also witnessed the launch of the winning works and other shortlisted writers titled “Righting Our Story.”
