OJO OLUMIDE EMMANUEL AND THREE OTHERS WIN THE WENAIJA LITERARY CONTEST

Ojo Olumide Emmanuel has won the prose category of the wenaijaliterary contest organized by the Nigerian Solidarity Support Fund (NSSF). He is the author of two poetry chapbooks, Supplication for Years in Sands and How Flowers Pollinate Before the Arrival of Butterflies.

The other winners include Ajibola Mikail (Nonfiction), Hadiza Abdulkarim (Poetry), and Abdullahi Tela (Flash fiction). They were winners in their categories from over 600 entries received from the whole federation.

TWO TEENAGERS WIN THE 2023 HIASFEST STAR PRIZE

The Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation announced the winners of HIASFEST Star Prize 2023.

The winners are Saheed Sunday from Ogun State and Testimony Odey from Cross River State.

According to the foundation, these teenagers are published authors and represent some of the best in Nigeria, today. They are all past winners of poetry or prose categories of the Nigeria Prize for Teen Authors.

The awards will be presented to them at the finals of HIASFEST, at Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria, on 21st January 2023.

HIASFEST, the largest and most rewarding teen arts festival in Nigeria and Africa is sponsored by Alhaji Bala Abdullahi Kwatu and the Aliyu Trust Foundation.
